      2. Key Chain (including: house keys, car keys & a copy of Claire's house keys - to be used only for emergencies)
      3. Paperclips (for lockpicking simple locks whenever unable or unnecessary to use spells)
      4. Journal (contents: terribly drawn sketches of people (obvious products of boredom), misc. notes, some journal entries)
      5. Lighter
      6. MP3 Player

    (Pockets)
      1. Cell Phone (contents: several snapshots of Mel, Bobby and Claire with or without him in them & a very full inbox/outbox with text message conversations - mostly between him and Claire)

Favorite plot tropes.

Give me any plot, chances are I'll want it.

Favorite character archetypes.

I honestly don't know. I am so into switching it up whenever I make a new character, that I'm more into exploring different personalities & flaws and seeing whether or not I can pull them off. I suppose that's my favorite - the challenge of making a completely new, totally different character. The easiest type? The very selfless and humble kind ones (I'd say Stavros is closest to that at the moment). But I just can't stand focusing on one type. I'll try others, even if I'm at risk of realizing that I suck at portraying them.

...whatever, I don't know how to properly answer this question, my brain is literally a clusterfuck at it LOL.

Favorite type of games.

The ones I've been in so far have been modern-day fantasy games. Can't have a favorite just yet!

Omg, the answers to these questions have been such fail, LOL.

Catching up. Again!

Tell us about a character who surprised you.

Alright, I would usually tell you Conrad because I sort of expected him to be impossible to write and most likely to never get much character development. Thanks to Caleb, this wasn't the case and because of that, I've come to notice how unpredictable he can be when it comes to his reactions. He just kind of evolved on his own and only upon re-reading his threads do I realize the certain quirks he has, his concerns, his weaknesses, strengths, dreams - and oddly enough (or should I say luckily), he's been relatively consistent when it comes to that. I had no idea. But now I have a better grip on who he is and I never thought I would ever have that with him.

But Noah's the new one that takes the cake. I haven't written him out much with anyone (getting those posts ready for threading, though!), but he's an unusually loud muse. And he's nothing like me - unlike Stavros and Conrad. His personality took me completely by surprise, as did his reactions in his journal entry to those that commented. There were moments that I would furiously type something out, so sure the muse wanted to say it and, when I re-read it, I was shocked at how blunt he could be, LOL. I nearly edited his comments out of slight embarrassment, but stopped myself since it just sounded so right for him. He's a weird one. I'm still not sure if I can keep up with him, but time and threads will tell. I get the feeling that he's going to be a lot of fun.

Tell us about a character relationship that surprised you.

Wow. Both of the ones I currently have going, actually. With Dextros, I never expected Dexter to reciprocate Stavros' feelings. I always wrote Stavros liking Dexter expecting a one-sided crush, but it just turned out to be so much more. Then, when their relationship began to develop, I first expected them to have so many issues that they wouldn't last. But damn, they proved me wrong twice. I can't really explain it well enough to give it justice, but their relationship is very interesting to me because of its idealistic surface and rather complicated interior. It doesn't seem like much when you sort of skim over it, but when you actually get to the heart of it, there's so much struggle with fear and insecurity, all held together with Stavros' stubborn optimism/devotion towards Dexter and Dexter's need/love towards Stavros. Who knows what lies ahead for those two?

As for Conrad and Caleb...to be honest, I expected it to have been a definite one night stand. But that was when I put up the thread in which he and Caleb met. By the end of it, I just wasn't sure anymore, since Conrad had reacted so differently than I had expected, I was sort of left blindsided! Then when Elle and I wrote "Burdens," he did it again and pushed Caleb away to such an extent that I thought that was it. But then Conrad kept pinning over him afterwards and that's when I knew that he was smitten! That asshole, giving me mixed signals. I love what it did to them, though - it showed how obsessed the two really are with the other, so much that at times they almost hate themselves for wanting each other that much. It's just a sort of pull - I don't know how, but they're always drawn together. It's crazy, it's fun, love it as well.

Tell us about a plot when the consequences surprised you.

Can't recall any rn! Skipping!

Tell us about a hobby or occupation one of your characters has that you would be interested in pursuing.

Bored, so doing tomorrow's!

Hm, a total round-up of their hobbies/occupations would be witchcraft/potions, alchemy and witchcraft/working at a store with magical books & objects.

To be honest, I've always been interested in witchcraft/Wicca (religious path) - there were moments when I considered converting to it, as I really connected with the principle of the Rede (an ye harm none, do what ye will). But I wasn't prepared, couldn't talk to anyone about it, couldn't afford reliable sources to study from. I've managed, though. Kind of sorted it out, spiritually speaking.

But yeah, I think out of all of that I'd work at a magic-centered shop. I hate chemistry, so alchemy and I are doomed. And I've come to have a shift of interest when it comes to witchcraft and the like - not trying to become apart of it anymore...but I do want to continue studying witchcraft/Wicca. BRB, reading all the books in the shop during lunch breaks!

Tell us about something you learned about from someone else's character or a game plot.

Research-wise? Can't recall. I've been so damn busy with uni, it's been ages since I've properly read another's thread. As soon as I'm done putting up Noah's several threads and entries, I'm going to start reading threads again. Not gonna lie, I'm especially looking forward to read up on Mel's and Noel/Bobby's thread! Gotta have my boy know his friends!

I will say, though, that I do enjoy reading into other characters. Personality-wise. I love guessing how they're like, what their weaknesses are, through observation. I might not always be accurate on my observations, but it's always fun, trying to figure a character out.

๑: meme: 30-day meme: day ten.

Tell us about something you learned about or researched for a character.

For all the characters I've been satisfied with, I've done or attempted to do research for them. Stavros' spells and tonics needed a bit of research - although I created the incantations myself, since that's what nearly all witchcraft websites and books tell you to do. Which is why they're cheesy as hell, hahaha! I actually miss writing out his spells, though - hopefully, he'll get into a bit of action so he can actually use them. With that research, you can say I've learned how the principle of creating spells is by having them make sense to what you want it to do. I mean, I suppose it can rhyme if you want, but what really matters are the words and the power you give them. It's like prayer, really. It doesn't have to sound impressive as long as the words seem true to your character. I hope I'm making sense...

Then there's Conrad! Oh, what a nightmare he was. Because he is a scientist, I worked very hard on understanding the basics of alchemy so that he'd be able to explain it to anyone who asked. He's supposed to know what he's doing, so I simply could not just make it up as I went, LOL! However, I soon realized that trying to understand alchemy fully was impossible when creating a fictional stone, so I applied the basics onto a theory I developed myself, based on another concept. Migraine for days, but it eventually worked. I also created the "mistake"/HEUG stone after careful research on the properties of said replacement base. Long story short, I studied magical properties of stones, alchemy, and kind of expanded an existing idea of Malice as power. Thus, Conrad is able to scribble his little notes on the stone/explain the process without sounding like a total idiot. What have I learned? Aspirin is your friend. Don't get me wrong, though. I loved every second of it.

And I look forward to researching a few things for Noah! And I might be able to apply said knowledge onto Stavros as well!

I'm finally caught up with the meme!

Post pictures of your PBs that would be totally OOC for your character but amuse you anyway.

Hosted by imgur.com

Unlike Ben, Conrad does know how to dance, haha. How do you think he managed to pick up one-night-stands at nightclubs? Not like that, let me tell you. Aww, Ben, you're still my favorite.

Post favorite YouTube videos involving your PBs.

You're the Voice! Of course, this would be in-character for Noah - God knows how many duets he and Claire have done in the privacy of his car!

What comes first, the PB or the character?

Usually, the character, unless I've been checking a certain PB out just cause I like said actor or model. For Conrad, the character. For Stavros, the character. For Dorian, the character, although Vlad just motivated me into making him more than ever. John, the PB, for sure. Oops. Noah, the PB and Silas was an old, old muse (I will use him in the future, dammit!), so character.

So behind on this meme! This'll be post one of me catching up!

Tell us about a character you almost didn't pick up.

Conrad. You better believe I was pussying out right after I apped him. Since I had created him as a baddie-type character, I was pretty excited about him, but I didn't know exactly how to write him out - hence his obvious evolution in-game. How Conrad was written is not how he's written out today, although I'm glad I kept him for as long as I have - he's gotten increasingly close to how I'd wanted him to be since the beginning. And I swear that I could go on about how glad I am that I didn't drop him, but I'd take forever. Let's just say he's really challenged me as a writer and, because he is essentially based on myself, I've become aware about several things in my personal life and personality (as he is technically an exaggerated self-vent) through writing him. Vague, I know but this isn't my personal journal!

Tell us about a character you wish you still played.

Don't really regret dropping any of my characters, so I don't wish I still played the ones I have dropped as they were. I guess I wish I could go back and fix the mistakes I've made on Dorian and John, since they could've been amazing - I just completely failed when I created them. The way I ended up writing out Dorian, in terms of his personal relationships, should've been done another way and John...I could think of many ways I could've fixed John, personality-wise and strength-wise. But, for now, I'm content with Conrad, Stavros and Noah.

Tell us about a character you're excited about but haven't had a chance to play or develop yet.

Noah. So many ideas for him. I've already begun to write one of my threads out, and I'm really nervous about him. After creating two other characters only to drop them (I'm left with my first two! What is this?!), I really want Noah to be a success. I'm not expecting him to be anything special, but I want him to be really fun to write, and at least somewhat interesting to those that tag with me. But he's a loud muse, unlike John and Dorian, so I rest easy on that thought. But yeah, I really look forward to write him out as true to the muse as possible - he's nothing like me, unlike Conrad and Stavros, so it's the only way I can do so!

๑: meme: 30-day meme: day three.

What are the inspirations for your characters' usernames?

Well, I've got [info]threefolds & [info]ravages, which are just words I associated with the character the moment I finished their bios. decisivemoment (deleted) was another one of those.

Then there was [info]feim. Feim is foam in Old High German. I chose it because Aphrodite was said to have been born out of sea foam. So it's only fitting for her son's username to be feim! I got lucky because it was said "Fame," so that Dorian could be DJ Feim...

Lastly, [info]pagens. It's my boy's surname (plus 's'), so...lack of creativity right there! I think if I were to rename any one of these it would be [info]ravages, but I wouldn't know what username to pick anyway!

๑: meme: 30-day meme: day two.

How do other RPers inspire you?

It's all in the writing. I'm open to writing with anyone, but long-standing lines (one-on-one) are primarily all thanks to the writing partner. There's a certain thing I look for - I'm not saying the ones I love to write with are more "superior" in my eyes than other writers are, it's that they give me all the qualities I love in a tag. I don't care much for length (although it certainly doesn't hurt), but I at least want a 4-5 sentence paragraph/tag with description on thoughts and/or surroundings along with action and/or dialogue. Again, I don't mind tags with less than that, but those tags are what really do it for me.

Next to that is character development. Sometimes, I love a writer but what really keeps me in a line are the certain characters that are in it. If the character I interact with has a few layers to them & their personality than what they initially show, consider me head-over-heels. Straight-forward characters are wonderful, but complex and/or difficult characters are just my thing. Love them.

So, it's all down to great character development and tags that are a pleasure to work with. With those two, I usually end up striving to learn from their writing style and I just get hooked on trying to figure their characters out. The more flawed (not necessarily tragic), the better - in most cases.

Using this entry to acknowledge the ones that I simply adore - you guys know who you are. Thank you for helping me grow as a writer; without you, I don't know how I would've found the motivation to develop my characters or even the urge to push myself into writing better to keep up with you. ♥ ILY & thanks for always challenging me!
